The imagination, design and preparation required by this yacht to be formerly owned by Prince and Princess Sadruddin Aga Khan made it a fascinating experience. Hamilton II has since been partly modified and suitably laid out to become a charter yacht for her new owner. Hamilton II is one of the most wonderful boats we have ever built, marvelously proportioned with a superb rig!
The hull and the deck of Hamilton II are the biggest carbon vinylester and balsa vacuum infused sandwich structures ever created at that time. With every conceivable luxury on board, the most sophisticated electrical, hydraulic, electronic and mechanical equipment available, Hamilton II – although she is perfectly at ease in the grandest yacht clubs – has been above all designed to sail away and to be lived on the sea. Remote anchorages, regattas and long transoceanic crossings are her world. The type of boat we like to build. For connoisseurs.
The interior was designed by Andrew Winch, furnishings made of bamboo, finely underlined with leather, stainless steel and cotton. In the initial version, the CNB 117 was composed of an owner suite, three double guest cabins, and crew quarter including three double cabins, crew mess and galley. Now, Hamilton II has two guest aft cabins in place of the former master’s stateroom shown here. All cabins have en suite bathrooms as well as sophisticated entertainment and communication systems.
