My love of the water and boating started early as my family had a time share on the Texas Gulf coast and we went as often as possible. Then I had my first scuba dive in the mid-70's and I was hooked. My first exposure to the Caribbean was a trip to Puerto Rico with my husband on a business trip and an extended weekend of snorkeling in St. Thomas.
We did a charter in the BVI's in the mid-80's with some friends which led to other sailing and diving adventures around the Caribbean and the world. I loved the activities on the water but was really more comfortable under water. So the two activities always went together for me.
In 2003, we bought our own boat, a Caliber 47LRC, named "Wildest Dream" and started to explore the Bahamas and the Florida Keys. And then in 2011, we took a sabbatical for 18 months to circumnavigate the Caribbean and Central America. What an experience!
And now, even though my career has mainly been in computer hardware, software and IT consulting, I am beginning new adventure in Yacht Sales. With my past experiences chartering and now after living aboard for 18 months, I have learned about boat systems, navigation equipment and software, onboard communications, and other nautical electronics. With this knowledge, I feel that I can help others achieve their dreams.
